Michael Stacey Shiflett, born October 19, 1972, is a fourth-generation Baptist preacher and was a second-generation missionary.  He was saved in 1976, called to preach in 1993, and served with his family in South Africa from 2001 to 2006 where he founded Calvary Independent Baptist Church.  He has written many books dealing with Missions, Evangelism, Discipleship, and Bible Doctrine.  Several of them have been translated into other languages. They currently reside in Taylors, South Carolina where he has pastored Pleasant View Baptist Church since July of 2006.  He and his wife, Grace have four children: Marissa, Spencer, Stuart, and Callie.
